Little League Bat Requirements
Little League International has implemented a new bat standard for 2018. This standard will remain the place for the 2021 season as well. This is a requirement of Little League, with which B.A.L.L. must comply as a Little League chartered organization. Due to this standard imposed in 2018, all bats that do not posses the USA Bat Stamp are not allowed to be used. B.A.L.L. has provided each team with a standard size bat, that meets the requirements. To learn more, visit the Little League International website: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/baseballbatinfo/USA-Baseball-Bat-Standard-FAQs.htm.

Blaine Area Little League does not honor requests to play for a specific coach or with specific teammates with the following exceptions:
1) Siblings playing in the same division will automatically be assigned to the same team unless we are notified to not do so.
2) Coaches’ and the Assistant Coaches’ children will be assigned to the same team.
Requests above and beyond these two scenarios place a logistical and operational burden on commissioners who are attempting to create rosters that are fair and balanced for everyone.
All players will be assigned to their age division at registration based on their birthdate. If you want your child to play up to the next age level, you will need to send your request in writing to the B.A.L.L. Board by emailing Corey Geist at firstname.lastname@example.org, before February 21st, 2021.
You will need to include your last year’s coach name and a brief description of why you are seeking your child to play up a level. You may be asked to meet with members of the board, and will be given a decision about your child’s placement after evaluations. We will also base our decision on the number of coaches, teams and players we have at the level you wish to play. If you are granted the ability to play up and the fee increases, we will bill you separately. Under no circumstances do we allow players to play down a level.
